Rebecca S. Adams, M.A, CCC-SLP, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication disorders with a minor in gerontology and a Master of Arts degree in speech-language pathology at Southeast Missouri State University. She started her career working with patients in skilled nursing and intensive care with long-term trach and vent care. She has more than 12 years of experience in her current roll where she treats patients with voice and swallowing disorders and has used diagnostic tools such as Videostroboscopy, Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and Modified Barium Swallows (MBS) for over 15 years.
Rebecca is certified in Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Stimulation (DPNS) and Vital Stimulation for treatment of dysphagia. She currently treats patients who have voice concerns, experience swallowing disorders, head and neck cancer and total laryngectomies. Rebecca earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). As a member, she holds a Missouri speech-language pathology license.
