Medical Coder and Billing Specialist

Busy otolaryngology surgical office is seeking a full-time Medical Coder and Biller. We are looking for someone that is detail oriented and has excellent customer service and organizational skills. Scheduled days are Monday thru Friday.

Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Handles patient phone calls in regards to their accounts and/or billing questions
  • Verifies patient eligibility prior to office visits
  • Collection of patient balances prior to office visits
  • Performs financial counseling for patients and surgery candidates
  • Reviews monthly reports with physicians and manager
  • Assists in divisional chart audits
  • Assists in maintaining the compliance program
  • Attends regular organizational meetings as requested
  • Attends continuing education sessions as requested
  • Performs additional duties as requested

Qualified candidates will have at least two (2) years of customer service experience in the medical industry and a minimum of two (2) years of EMR experience.

Medical Assistant

Busy pediatric otolaryngology office is seeking a Full-Time (30+ hours) Medical Assistant. We are looking for someone that is detail oriented and has excellent follow-up and organizational skills.

Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Set up exam rooms
  • Answer and return patient phone calls
  • Sterilize and clean medical instruments
  • Assist physician in clinic and procedures
  • Obtain vital signs and update medical information in EMR

Qualified candidates will have at least two (2) years of medical experience and a minimum of one (1) year of higher education with an emphasis in the medical field. MA Certification preferred.

Sound Health Services is looking for a full-time medical telephone operator. Job duties include answering a multi-line telephone system and scheduling for multiple doctors. Centralized scheduling experience is a plus. Excellent customer service skills are a must.

Front Desk Receptionist

Very busy ENT/Otolaryngology practice is seeking full-time and part-time seasoned professional Front Desk Receptionists. The primary duties of this position includes for checking patients in and out, prepping patients' charts for the schedule, verifying eligibility and obtaining referrals, answering phones, scheduling appointments and follow-up appointments, and maintaining the appearance of the reception area. The ideal candidate is able to work as a member of the team and will have a polite, pleasant and helpful demeanor with extensive customer service skills. As this position is the “first impression” for our patients, it is imperative that this person be knowledgeable when dealing with questions regarding hearing loss, hearing aids, voice problems, etc. The ideal candidate will also thrive in a very professional, fast-paced medical practice as a key member of a large team.

Additional duties not listed above may also be required. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years customer service experiences. 2 years medical setting and/or medical assistant experience preferred. Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency and knowledge of Centricity Practice Management is a plus.

Qualified candidates will have 2-3 years experience in a surgical medical practice and excellent communication skills with patients and staff. Duties include scheduling and precertification of all surgical and ancillary procedures/tests; collecting and posting surgery deposits and co-pays; managing monthly tracking reports of surgeries performed; maintaining scheduling templates within practice management; attending regular organizational meeting and continuing educational sessions; performing additional duties as requested. Registered Medical Assistant

A very busy Sound Health ENT/Otolaryngology practice is hiring a registered medical assistant for a full time position with benefits. 2 to 5 years experience is required and the candidate MUST be a registered medical assistant. This is a very busy position with varied hours; your schedule must be flexible. We’re looking for a detail oriented loyal person who can multitask. You should be comfortable working directly with patients while showing compassion and providing quality care. You must be comfortable with medical procedures.

Duties include rooming patients, taking vital signs, data entry into our EMR system, returning patient phone calls, calling out medications, getting pre-certifications for testing, assisting with medical procedures, etc. Serious inquires only.
